The city has secured $3.67 million from the state Department of Transportation’s Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program to make necessary improvements to East Main and Myrtle streets. The contract has been awarded to Martin Laviero Contractor Inc. of Bristol. This construction is part of Phase 6 of the reconstruction project of East Main Street between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Main Street. The work includes milling and overlaying of Myrtle Street between Main Street and Washington Avenue.
