New Haven sues consulting firm, alleging plans to stabilize shoreline were faulty

New Haven hired Milone & Macbroom to provide a series of services, including designing plans to stabilize shoreline at River Walk Park as part of a larger effort to improve the shoreline in the Lloyd Street area, attorney Deborah Monteith Neubert alleged on behalf of the city in the suit.  The effort, known as the “Shoreline Stabilization & Lloyd St. Construction Project,” included the “installation of permanent sheet piling along the Qunnipiac River” and removal of existing bulkhead, among other aspects, according to the suit. It originally was expected to be completed between April and September 2012. C.J. Fucci Inc. received a $1.6 million contract to do the work.
