The town’s streetscape project to replace the sidewalks and install new crosswalks is moving forward with a Streetscape Building Committee. The Streetscape Building Committee agreed unanimously to support both of these crosswalks and will ask the selectmen Tuesday to endorse the changes. In addition, the committee wants the selectmen to direct surveyor Gary Hock to provide plans that include both right of ways and property lines, because DOT wants them shown on the maps produced by Milone & MacBroom. The committee is under tight time constraints to make use of a state grant that expires Dec. 31. Milone & MacBroom needs six weeks to complete plans once the survey is received, and then six weeks to get the bid specifications created.
