Connecticut transportation officials have opened 225 parking spaces in an $8.8 million downtown Meriden parking garage to improve rail access for regional commuters and travelers, authorities said. The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) said it made the improvements to safety, accessibility and convenience near the CTrail Hartford line Meriden station. The spaces opened last week.
