O&G Industries of Torrington plans to put up the solar-panel array as an accessory use to its existing rock quarry operation on the Woodbury-Southbury border at a cost of $2.5 million. Ken Faroni of O&G said the solar panels would be installed deep in the woods of its property along the Pomperaug River. A hearing is scheduled for May 28.
