The hourly minimum wage in Connecticut is set to increase to $11 per hour on Tuesday. The hourly minimum wage will rise to $11 as of Oct. 1, from $10.10. The minimum wage will rise until it reaches $15 an hour on June 1, 2023. The last time the minimum wage was increased was 2014, to $10.10 an hour, from the previous $9.60. There are 28 states and Washington, D.C. that mandate a minimum higher than the federal wage as of July 12 (Economic Policy Institute).
