Construction on Bridgeport’s Harding High nears finish line

At $107 million, the new school is not the most expensive built in the city — Fairchild Wheeler still holds that distinction — but it may just be the most distinctive. By the time construction is complete, said Larry Schilling, a program manager for the construction project, suspects the city can add Harding to the list of schools that have acquired LEED, (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, meaning it is low maintenance and environmentally friendly.
