Attendees began to gather at around 1 p.m. on Woodland Avenue in what turned out to be a hot, sunny day with clear skies. Michel lead the group down to developer Building and Land Technology headquarters on Elmcroft Road with a Stamford police patrol monitoring nearby. An appeal from the NRZ petitioned the Board of Representatives to not make the changes to the city’s Master Plan. When the Board voted down the changes to the plan, the developer sued for what it said was an illegal petition effort. The lawsuit, according to court documents, was transferred to the Superior Court Judicial District of Hartford in May.
