Bloomfield’s town plan and zoning commission (TPZ) in a virtual meeting Thursday unanimously approved both a zone change and a master plan for Corporate Crossing Limited Partnership’s planned $22.6-million expansion at 580 Cottage Grove Road. The TPZ changed about 12.5 acres of the 20-acre Corporate Crossing site from an office zone to a multi-family residential zone. That would allow for the proposed $8-million construction of 40 luxury apartments split between two buildings. The development is also expected to generate many temporary construction jobs, and permanent jobs for those maintaining the property.
