Bristol’s population is about 60,000 and Plainville’s is about 18,000, so working together both municipalities can take advantage of the new program, Zoppo-Sassu said. The redevelopment authority allows towns the flexibility to combine forces to meet that population level, said Calvin Brown, aide to the mayor on communications and policy.
