Now the team is close to finalizing a design. “We were looking at the end of 2025 to complete the design and start construction sometime in 2026,” Patel said. The cost of the project is estimated to be about $175 million and will be funded through state and federal sources. When complete, the trail will connect bikers and pedestrians from Norwalk to Danbury.
