he Board of Education terminated a contract with Construction Advocacy Professionals, LLC during a special meeting in the wake of recent controversy surrounding the company. Board of Education President Gayle Sanders-Connolly told the Herald in a previous interview the school district agreed to move forward with the company because it needed assistance and it was recommended by Diamantis to work with CAP, the same company his daughter worked for. Kane said “in light of what has been reported both statewide and local,” the board should terminate the agreement. According to Section 16-A of the agreement, the school board “may terminate this agreement at any time and for any or no reason upon seven days prior written notice to CAP.” The termination of the contract severs all agreements the school has with the company.
