Lamont issues new guidelines for biz to keep workplaces safe

Gov. Ned Lamont has signed another executive order that prescribe new rules for how businesses that remain open during the coronavirus pandemic should operate to keep workers safe. They range from instructions on how to keep portable bathrooms on construction sites clean to asking for social distancing in the workplace. Lamont signed the executive order as the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths continue to rise in Connecticut. As of Tuesday night, 7,781 people in the state have tested positive for the disease, while 277 people have died, according to Lamont’s office.
